Actuarial Analyst

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of BS Mathematics or any equivalent.
  • At least 2 years experience as Actuarial Assistant or Actuarial Analyst
  • Extensive knowledge of the operations of an HMO company
  • Must be computer literate (MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint, MS Access)
  • Management, organizational and planning skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills
  • Programming (preferred but not a must)

Job Description:

  • Prepares costing of highly customized and complex prospective group accounts
  • Validates claims analysis prepared by Actuarial Analyst
  • Prepares renewal costing of major accounts and high utilizing accounts
  • Provides support in the negotiations by doing Sales calls both for new and renewal business
  • Validates the ABC of major accounts
  • Review of the Weekly Sales Reports (NAP and GMD Sales reports)
  • Review of the monthly Persistency Report
  • Provide support to Sales and Marketing by actively participating in various group roll-out (new business and renewal)
  • Ensures timely release of all regular reports
  • Provide support to various functional areas in relation to various issues related to Underwriting Guidelines/Protocols
  • Performs other duties that may be assigned by the superior from time to time
